Habitat for Humanity cares about you and the well-being of our community. Please note that until further notice all volunteer shifts have been cancelled. For up-to-date information about how Habitat Edmonton is responding to COVID-19, please click here.
In 2020, all of our landscaping will take place at our Carter Place development in Edmonton’s Laurel community (southeast Edmonton). If you have already registered as a volunteer with Habitat Edmonton, you can sign up for shifts here. (You will need to sign up under “Carter Place”. In the morning, volunteers who want to landscape can choose to do so at the site). If you would like to register as a Habitat volunteer, you can do so here or contact Monica for more information.
Landscaping with Habitat is just plain fun! You’re out in the sunshine, using rakes, pushing wheelbarrows, laying sod, building and painting fences, watering grass, and digging holes. You experience the joy of watching yards come together for families in our community.
Landscaping days depend on the weather, so please understand that we may need your help with alternative construction tasks if the weather is unsuitable. We ask that all landscaping volunteers bring their own work gloves, water bottle, sunscreen, and a hat. If you volunteer with our Landscaping Team for five shifts over the summer, you’ll receive a landscaping t-shirt!
