Habitat’s Adopt-a-Day program is an excellent way to get out of the office for fresh air, exercise and to build bonds with coworkers, friends or family. Building with Habitat produces tangible results. If you work on a home build, you’ll be able to drive past the home years later and say, “We helped build it!” We also have Adopt A Day opportunities at our Prefabrication Shop and ReStores.

When your team arrives at Habitat, titles disappear and you all learn together in a safe environment. All safety gear, training and lunch are provided – along with your company or group’s logo displayed prominently on our build site. Your group receives tee shirts, on site signage with your logo, website recognition, lunch and digital picture of your group that you can proudly display in your office.

Participation Fees:

Groups of 4 to 10: $5,000
Groups of 12 to 14: $7,500

“Along with helping out the charity I was able to take home some valuable information I can use myself in regards to renovations and/or house building. A win/ win situation! I’ve participated in this charity event once before and thoroughly enjoyed it both times. Hopefully we will continue to support the Habitat for Humanity in Edmonton. I feel the most rewarding aspect was the chance to help out a charity that allows hard-working people who otherwise couldn’t afford the down payment for a house, be able to buy one through a lot of sweat equity. Also, the take home knowledge I received in regard to home repair/ renovation was invaluable. Thanks for the opportunity!” — Lana Gardner, PriceWaterhouse Coopers

“TD Canada Trust adopted three different dates. Two were on site and one was at the prefab shop. Over the three dates we had approximately 25 different people volunteer.  From all reports I have heard the volunteers enjoyed their days and felt well taken care of by your team. It was a nice treat to have lunch and snacks provided.  I think that it was well organized and jobs were available for all levels of experience. It was a team building initiative for our company and the objective was to give of our service to the local community. I feel that we met our objectives. It was wonderful to be invited back to participate in the key presentation to a family. I think it is a wonderful opportunity for any company interested in participating! I recommend it!” – Shirley Pacholok, TD Canada Trust

“It was great to meet new employees in the firm and know each other outside of the work environment. It was a great activity! I look forward to seeing the houses completely built. I loved how I was given the opportunity to empower our community by building homes for low-income families.” — Brendon Ngan
