Members of the Mortgage Industry of Alberta joined in partnership to sponsor a home for a family in our Calder Build. A generous combined donation of $100,000 coupled with work on the build site demonstrated the industry's commitment to Habitat for Humanity and building homes in the community.

A Donation of Energy
Edmonton-based company ETI SOLAR offered Habitat the opportunity to go solar! ETI wanted to take the opportunity help in the community and create awareness about the new and exciting solar power systems they are designing for homes. They donated two 400W solar systems to the earstern duplex of our Calder build. This donation will provide the families enough electricity for the fridge, oven, and microwave. Not only will this provide the families peace of mind knowing that their energy bills will be lowered, but they can feel great knowing that they are helping reduce the effects of climate change. ETI SOLAR President Steve Wiebe states that this donation was “a great way to help support an organization already doing wonderful things for the community.” Habitat for Humanity is proud to be able to offer this environmentally-friendly option to two of our Partner Families, and we are grateful to ETI SOLAR for their unique donation.
